The amount of Energy in a System can be quantified. The quantity we use to measure this disorder is called the Entropy of a System: The greater the disorder, the greater the Entropy.

To fight Entropy means to wash the dishes, to do your homework or to put up a Netlabel. 12rec. is a music label. The universal tendency of things to become disordered is expressed in a fundamental law of physics- the Second Law of Thermodynamics- which states that in the universe, the degree of disorder can only increase. So why trying to work against it?

There are several reasons. You don't like mould? Wash your plates! You'd liked to get rich and lead a multinational concern? Do your homework! But what do to when you're a dedicated lover of music willing to support people that feel the same? If you're not interested in makin' money but, sorry, art? Guess what.

We're looking for new music everyday. What kind of? There seems to be a rest of Pop in all of our releases, this should be enough to give you a hint when wondering ‘bout the 12rec.-sound. No complaining about styles, we don't mind if the music is made of guitars, synthesizers or field-recordings. It should be touching, experimental or best both. Feel invited!
